Join us at the SF Camerawork gallery Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, for a weekend full of photo books! On Friday, April 26, from 5:00-7:00 pm, in collaboration with National Monument Press, we are thrilled to launch Ebti's new release, a riso edition entitled Tafseel. Continuing through Saturday, SF Camerawork will present a pop-up photo book sale featuring a wide range of used books, periodicals, and portfolios collected by the organization, as well as retail monographs and gallery publications by SF Camerawork alumni. Grab a drink and sift through SFC's photo books. From rare collectible titles to contemporary releases, you’ll be sure to find the next book for your collection! This sale is the first of several archive sales SF Camerawork will hold this year to benefit our 50th Anniversary.

SF Camerawork Members' Critiques

Critiques are opportunities for SF Camerawork members to receive feedback on their work from leading artists and educators throughout the country. SF Camerawork has continued with a hybrid model for the Members' Critiques, alternating every other month between in-person and online sessions to inspire and engage with our communities in the Bay Area and globally.

Critique Format: The critiques are two hours long, usually on Tuesday evenings from from 6 - 8 pm PST. Five photographers have 20 minutes at each critique to present their work and receive feedback from the critique leader and the group. In addition to the five photographers presenting work, there are also typically 15 - 20 other members who tune in to observe, comment, and ask questions. Critiques are intended to be as collaborative as possible, and we encourage all participants to engage in the conversation!

If you are interested in learning more or presenting work at an upcoming Members' Critique, please email our Gallery Manager, Joanna Knutsen, joanna@sfcamerawork.org for further details.
