INTERNSHIPS

SF Camerawork offers job training internships to interested individuals of all ages and backgrounds year-round. The commitment is one day per week, 11:30 am to 5:30 pm, Wednesday—Saturday, for one academic semester. This is an unpaid internship.

To apply, please send a résumé and cover letter to info (at) sfcamerawork.org with "Internship" in the subject line.

Please include in your cover letter why an internship at SF Camerawork interests you, what skills you would bring to the position as well as what skills you would like to develop, and what days of the week you have available. Previous gallery experience is not necessary.

SUBMISSIONS

SF Camerawork’s Arts Advisory Committee reviews unsolicited submissions twice per year.

Your submission should contain the following:  

1. Up to 20 JPGs. Please label each with your name and a number that corresponds to an annotated image list.  
2. An annotated image list (PDF) to correspond with JPEGs. Please include the numeral corresponding to each image, the title, series (if applicable), year, medium, and a brief description of each work.  
3. A current résumé or curriculum vitae and artist statement (both as PDF). Your artist statement should describe your work in a simple and straightforward manner and not exceed one page.  
4. Submissions will not be returned. Please do not submit original artwork.

Review Process   

Due to the high number of submissions SF Camerawork receives, the turnaround time averages six months. SF Camerawork's exhibitions are often programmed 18-24 months in advance. Please no phone calls or emails.
