During the summer of 2001, First Exposures partnered with the Boys and Girls’ Club, Guerrero Unit to provide a Photoshop and Web Design. Students from the First Exposures program as well as students from the club will be matched one-to-one with volunteer mentors to learn photography related computer skills. The outcome pf the class was the creation by each student of their very own website.
The purpose of the class is to help prepare students for today’s job market, which relies heavily on computer skills. By altering images and creating internet web pages in Photoshop and the Dreanweaver web design applications, students elevate their creativity and critical thinking skills while expanding their knowledge of photography based technologies.
The theme of the students websites is "Dreams". Please check out their online work!
