The Delabos-Yamrus Fund at SF Camerawork
Thank you for considering a donation to SF Camerawork (SFC) in celebration of the marriage of Lucas Delabos and Frank Yamrus.
SFC is a nonprofit arts organization in San Francisco that supports emerging and mid-career photographers. Frank and Lucas are part of the SFC family. Frank’s relationship with SFC started as an exhibiting artist in the 1998 exhibition Cocktail Hour – New Imagery in the AIDS Era, and continued through his role as a Board Member from 1999 to 2004. Over the years, he has also supported SFC's programming and annual auction. Lucas, a supporter of the photographic arts for many years, is a more recent SFC patron. This past June, while in San Francisco to attend the opening reception of our Long Term Survivor Project debuting Frank's new portraits of long-term HIV survivors, Lucas and Frank approached SFC with an idea of creating a fund for emerging photographers.
After finalizing the details, we are excited to kick off this new initiative! The Delabos -Yamrus Fund will initially function as a reserve fund, positioning SFC to obtain additional funding from larger foundations, with the goal of eventually creating an endowment for emerging photographers. With your generosity we may get there sooner than expected.
SF Camerawork is a registered non-profit charity; all donations/gifts are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. If your employer has a matching gift program, please consider notifying them of this opportunity.
Thank you for your generosity,
Heather Snider, Executive Director and merci beaucoup from Messieurs Delabos et Yamrus
